Jahangirnagar University admission test started on Sunday

Jahangirnagar University (JABI) 2021-2022 academic year graduation (honours) first year admission test is starting from Sunday. This year 2 lakh 84 thousand 606 students will take part in this exam against total 1 thousand 888 seats. Accordingly, 151 students will fight for each seat.

Abu Hasan, Deputy Registrar (Education) and Member Secretary of Admission Management Committee of the University gave this information on Friday. Earlier on Thursday afternoon, the admission test schedule was announced in a press release signed by the Acting Director of the Public Relations Department, Mohammad Mohiuddin.

According to the notification, the admission test of Faculty of Arts and Humanities under ‘C’ Unit and Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture will be held on Sunday. Against total 466 seats in this unit, 53 thousand 430 admission-seekers will take the exam. The next day, Monday, the admission test of the Faculty of Sociology and Law under ‘B’ unit will be held. The number of seats in this unit is 386. The number of applicants is 48 thousand 348.

The admission test of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and Institute of Information Technology under ‘A’ unit will be held on Tuesday. The remaining admission-seekers of this unit will be tested in the first phase (9 am to 10 am) on August 3 morning. Total seats in ‘A’ unit are 466. 76 thousand 379 will participate in the examination.

The admission test of biology faculty under ‘D’ unit will be held on Wednesday. Next day on Thursday the remaining students of this unit will be examined in the first, second and third rounds. 87 thousand 728 applicants against 320 seats in ‘D’ unit.

The admission test of Faculty of Business Studies and Institute of Business Administration (IBA-JU) under ‘E’ unit will be held from the fourth phase on Thursday. Total seats in this unit are 250. 18 thousand 721 aspirants will take the exam. Details of the admission test are available on the university’s admission-related website
