The Detective Division (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Zainal Mia’s three sons Abdul Hanif, Abdul Hannan and Abdul Mannan and their accomplice Sohail from Mirpur and Gazipur in the capital on Friday night. At that time 29 lakh taka stolen from them was recovered.

According to the DB police, the residence of old Zainal Mia in Manikadi area of ​​the capital. He lives there with his wife. As the sons’ wives did not like their parents, the three businessmen beat up the two sons and threw them out of the house. Zainal Mia and Hanufa Begum live in a rented house after being beaten by their children.

On June 28, Zainal Mia sold the residential land. He was returning home on the motorcycle of the ride-sharing service Pathao with the money from the land sale in his bag. At one point, when Abdul Hanif reached his home in Manikadi, he hit Zainal, who was sitting behind the motorcycle with his two other brothers, with an iron rod, and he fell down on the road. At that time, when Zainal came to protect his son-in-law, they beat him and broke his leg. At one point, when the old mother came forward, the children beat her too.

The injured were admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital. A case was registered in the Cantonment police station in that incident. The Gulshan Division of the DB has been assigned the responsibility of investigating the case.

Deputy Commissioner Moshiur Rahman of the investigating officer of the case, DB Gulshan Division, told Prothom Alo on Saturday night that Zainal’s three sons conspired with the robber Sohail to steal Mia’s money. Efforts are on to arrest the other robber.

Moshiur Rahman said, with the permission of the court, the four arrested have been remanded for two days. The recovered 29 lakh rupees have been handed over to the elderly Zainal. He wept with joy after getting the money back. The four arrested persons, including Zainal Mia’s three sons, said that the remaining two lakh rupees of the looted money had been spent.
